I used to think that these older Pokemon games were cool novelties that did not stand the test of time at all. Hell, for years gen 2 was my least favorite out of any of them. I shiny hunted Celebi on the VC version of this game and stopped playing immediately after. I never really "got" Crystal or the hype around it. After SV pushed me away from the series, I came back with a real Gameboy Color (custom of course) and an official Crystal cartridge. Now that I've beaten Red, I can easily say that I was so wrong.

I forgot what it was like for these games to actually feel like an RPG with an end goal to reach for. I forgot how much smaller details got put into the world to make it feel more alive. Legendaries actually feeling like legends that you can find and catch for yourself, rather than the game just handing them to you. So many other components that make these games so special are highlighted in Crystal, and it made me love this series again.

This game definitely isn't perfect, and it's not going to suddenly be my favorite Pokemon game. But after the Switch's output of mostly okay-at-best pokemon games this was such a nice refresher, and a reminder as to why I still love this series after 15 years.

This game made me discover I had a perfect Mii voice impression

I played this game from start to finish; it went so hard. Not the best WarioWare but to say this isn't a good one is crazy.

Adorable as hell, basically a better version of Pikmin 1. Sadly didn't traumatize me as much as 2 did so I think I like this one in between the two other games. Side content goes crazy though.

A great port and the best way to get into the series. Love these Gamecube ports Nintendo does I'll buy them all

I think I like this gameplay loop better than Pikmin 1, but for ever good change this game makes there's a bad one made. Why can Purple and White pikmin only found 5 at a time? Why are the last few caves just so poorly designed compared to the rest of the game. Why does Louie still breathe. As much as this game made me almost have a stroke I definitely think I still had fun?

Played it once, it's cute but I don't see myself going back sadly.

It's a sweet little game, for every satisfying puzzle to solve, there was one where the hints are necessary. Some of the puzzles are also extremely sensitive to placement, so even being a little off will make the game think you didn't figure it out. High peaks and low lows with the puzzle design, but a good vibes game. Grab it when it's only $10 or lower, I wouldn't say it's worth full price.

I am now Remake-pilled. As weird as the pacing can get in the middle of the game it still has me thinking of how peak it was. The one issue is that the original PS1 title is required reading for some of the major story beats to hit as hard as they do. Play the original and then come and play this banger.

This game has no right being as solid as it is. Somehow more engaging than Bayo 3, and definitely had a better story. Combat does take a while to open up and sometimes the pacing feels slow, but definitely a must play if you're a bayo fan.

Sounds and looks like a wet fart

Imagine makinhg two sets of controls and they both suck

Took me back to when Pokemon games had charm in them

Best part of the game was when I got to skip right to world 8
