Honestly it was really great. I don’t get the hate. Maybe if I played the OG RE 3 I’d be more mad, but as a game itself it’s awesome. Jill is an amazing protagonist, and Carlos is amazing too. From my perspective, when I finished the game, my first thought wasn’t “I wish that was longer” it was “Wow that was fun, let’s do it again”.

I should probably mention my two major gripes with this game, one of which is vastly less serious than the other. The first one, which is more of just a nitpick, is that I hated going back to RPD. After the RE 2 Remake, I was just sick of it. That being said, the location didn’t overstay its welcome, the section was actually pretty cool, and it was interesting to see the setup for things that happened in RE 2. The second thing is something I genuinely don’t like though, and it’s the overabundance of tentacles in this game. Seriously. There’s too much. It weirds me out.

Hot take, but this game’s stealth made me feel more like a predator than Arkham Knight’s

At the risk of parroting most other reviews, I have to say, this game is amazing because it progressively gets more and more over-the-top, without becoming too goofy for its own good. Without spoilers, I'll say that this game had several distinct moments that befuddled me in the best way possible.

Aside from that, the gameplay itself is also super fun. In a game where dual wielding assault rifles or automatic shotguns is an option, stealth is still pretty satisfying to be honest.

Overall, this game is great, and should definitely be picked up by anyone who loves over-the-top action in games, and hates Nazis.
