Playing this again, it felt like I was lost in time in the year 1999. This game definitely deserves a remaster, maybe thats never gonna happen because it plays a little outdated, but the sounds, the soundtrack and the fun of this game is tremendously good. I never completed this game before, because at the time I was a kid that rarely fully completed all the games I had. But I had such a good time with this one, so for me this was the reason to play it again from scratch till the end. The part that reminded me the most was the intro and the first tutorial level "Nowhere". Played this so many times again and again.

Now, that I completed this game for the first time I really can say that the fun is precisely still there. If you still digging PS1 games and don't focus too much on the graphics, you really have to give this one a spin. It's maybe one of the best platform games on PS1. It's easy, the collectibles are enjoyable to gather and to me, this game don't harp on the same string too much. The hardest level was mainly the last "Mine or Mine" level. It took me 3 runs to collect every yellow carrot and clocks, and if you pass the finish line you really have to start over from the beginning of the level to start the Mine section, which can be frustrating. But overall, this game feels like timeless magic and I'm very proud to have this in my collection again. If you love the first Spyro games, you probably gonna like this one too because this game is mainly about completing items in a variety of levels, including amusing puzzle elements and a wonderful soundtrack. It's definitely not the same like Spyro, but it holds that nostalgia feeling from playing those platform games based on collecting various items. (Note: If you wanna play PS1 games again and don't have an old CRT yet, I would really recommend it because it makes your retro games great again!)

I was hyped to play Scarface the game itself, because of the brilliant movie and because of the 80’s Miami vibe. The beginning made sense but after 5 or 6 hours of playing, I got bored because of the storyline. Am I right that the most important thing to do is to take over various districts right? You earn money by take out gangs and sell drugs to gain more money. After that you buy businesses and do everything again and again. That’s what I understand. Buying businesses sounds interesting, but from what I experienced is that it doesn’t really reward you for the amount of money you invest in it. For example, when you buy a property in GTA Vice City, you get rewarded with your investment but in this game it doesn’t really make sense (correct me if I’m wrong). The best thing about this game for me is the Soundtrack and the weapons versus the shooting combat. Unfortunately I had higher expectations from this title.

One of the better horror games I played in a long time. It starts pretty eerie and gave me highly expectations. The way you search around along with Ellis and his dog Bullet, you have to find missing items like video tapes and pause that at the exact time to make objects or scenery change in reaI time felt like something I didn't experienced before, but this game also left me with a few cons. The enemies can be very annoying sometimes, because they moving so fast that you can't see them. I say enemies because you have to experience it to understand what I'm saying. At some places you can't use your flashlight because of waking them up. I actually learned pretty late in the game that you can kill these by pointing the flashlight in their direction. Another downside is the way of finding items. You can give Bullet (the dog) a task to look out for some items, but most times he can't find anything. To look for items yourself in these big, maze-like areas can be pretty frustrating. Later on, the story gets strange, loose and weird. During the end, it really felt like they had reasons to drag out the storyline, which is a shame because it had a very interesting opening. After all I can recommend this one to everybody that loves the genre, but maybe just for one time.

Actually a fun game to play. The graphics are looking good and the framerate is fine, but I had some serious bugs in the PS5 version. At some point you start a mission where you have to drive to a filmset and the camera's began to rolling. When arrived, the game shuts down everytime with error messages. The workaround for this was to change the character's voice, which is an unthinkable issue. This is simply one of those games that you can't take really serious, I mean the story isn't the reason of playing. The fun part for me was blowing up items and pedestrians with the Genkimobile and the side activities were really worth it, sometimes more fun instead of the main objective. After my playthrough completing the game, I was basically done with it and unfortunately I'm not feeling to pick it up again, because of dealing with several bugs figuring out how to play further. It took me some time to fix it, so unfortunately this game leaves a few scars behind.

To start with, I was very hyped when I got my hands on the Console Version of this game. I’m not owning a high end PC, so my only chance was to wait for the PS5 version. I’m a huge Syberia fan from day one, the first game is in my Top 5 best games of all time. So I was hoping for another new beautiful adventure.

During my first steps of the story, almost everything felt great and I was so ready for more. After playing Syberia 3, which was actually boring and unpleasant to play, I had positive expectations about this one, this release felt more professionaI. I really had to get used to have interaction with new characters, like Katyusha and Dana Roze. But in the beginning it couldn’t annoy me because it’s a new Syberia. After playing some hours, the first bad thing that I also couldn’t get used to was the lack of the frame rate. This PS5 version runs on a max of 30 fps, this was very disappointing to me. These consoles should run it easily on a steady 60 fps nowadays.

So over to the story. I was very surprised about the authenticity of how the story felt in the beginning. Arriving at the hotel gave me goosebumps and nostalgia feelings of Valadilene. Benoît Sokal did a very great job on this. During the stay at the hotel, the tasks felt very amusing to me. During my playtime the hours was passing by very quickly.

Until a bit further in the game when I had to play with Dana Roze. I mean, in the beginning I had to give it a chance and I didn’t judged about her role, so it was a fresh change that Microids did. The concert that she had to do was nice and typically Syberia.

But to be honest, when I reached about 50% of the game I scratched my head thinking why am I so busy playing with Dana. This whole franchise is about Kate Walker traveling by train searching for Hans Voralberg partly with Oscar. Dana’s whole story couldn’t bother me so after 50% I experienced some concentration problems and couldn’t follow the story very clearly, because I didn’t enjoyed her backstory. To me, she’s too much in the spotlights. So I was thinking, why did they decide to build this full game all about her and her friend Leon. Besides that, at some point you figure out there is a war going on and that’s another subject that’s not appropriate to be in Syberia. I don’t care about war. Because Dana couldn’t bother me, the story lost lots of points and expectations for me.

After completing the story, I really hoped for a revisit to the lovely city Valadilene or Barrockstadt. I didn’t expected it, but that would win more love for this part instead of what they did about Dana Roze. To be honest, she wasn’t even necessary to be in the game. They could’ve done better in my opinion. Especially because this is their best selling franchise they made.

I still have to give my props to the authenticity of the art style. That’s still top notch and typical Syberia what you expect from Benoît Sokal (R.I.P.).
All the Automatons, tools, materials and items you have interaction with feels fun and professional. Graphical it looks OK to me, it’s not groundbreaking. The facial animations could have done better, but I’ve seen worser. They also did a great job on the subtitle languages. There are various options to choose to make it more understandable in many languages.

To end with, if you are looking for a laidback relaxing point & click story with an unique art style and without too much challenge, look it up this might be for you. Because I know all of the ins and outs of the earlier Syberia games, I’ve expected more of this one. The best advice is to play the first Syberia, you won’t regret it. It’s still the best!

2022

In the beginning, I was not a fan of this game because I'm not a cat lover. When I had it for free on PlayStation Plus, I gave it a try because the puzzle elements got my attraction. When I got my hands on it, it felt like a very slow paced adventure but that was just the intro. As soon as I reached the city, I was stuck on this cute, short exploring adventure! Everytime when I stop playing, it invites me to do more and go back with the story. Besides that, I love the funny trophy collectibles in this game. The music sheets, scratching the vinyl record, dunk the basketball, mahjong with the robots and a couple more. These are easy and fun to collect. Unfortunately I missed out some of the B-12 memories. But I'm pretty sure you can collect the missing ones later on.

The vibe of this game brings me to the cities of Japan. The neon signs, the slums and the robots are really something else. They managed to be pretty scary.

After all, I loved every episode that this game gave me because it's laid back and a very amusing title when you in the need of a chill vibe story. Nothing matters about time, unless you have the motivation to complete it within 2 hours, in exchange for a trophy.

Very cute light version of a 'souls' game. This game is perfect for players who love open world adventures, exploring and collecting items that are spread around in all different villages. For me, this game was not too hard to beat, the last boss battle was pretty frustrating, but it also depends on the difficulty you play on. The Rot's are super cute, you can collect these by discovering the world, open chests or completing missions. You can decorate them by collecting hats, you can buy these from the Hat Carts and customise each Rot. The puzzles are pretty new in the beginning, I really had to get used to it but later on, they get pretty straight forward. The story and everything about the game feels very focused on Mindfulness. The sound design, the story and the meditation spots. This feels very nice when you come home after a hard day of work. This one is for you if you don't expect too much motivation in completing boss battles, the focus is more to complete the beautiful story that this game gives you.

Had so much fun playing this game on the PS5. TOEM had me interested since the very beginning, and that for a free PlayStation Plus game. The art style is very unique, the puzzles are lots of fun and making pictures for tasks around the cities, felt new and entertaining. Most of the puzzles were pretty straight forward for me but some of them got me thinking. Overall, this game is easy to beat and is far away from hard. This is one of them indie games that you wanna play under a blanket during the winter season with a cup of tea enjoying the beautiful world that TOEM is offering.

For the trophy hunters, this is your way to go! I completed it in around 8 hours, with a Platinum Trophy. You actually get these by completing all tasks each region, photograph every animal or capture special characters through out the game.

The only downside I think of, is the Soundtrack. The music in this game made me turn it off, at some point I got annoyed with it, while the menu music sounds very recognizable and fun.

Another very small downside, is the way the characters talk in the game, it’s not a very big thing but it can be annoying sometimes. It’s a thing you see in different indie games, I think I’m not very used to it but on the other side, it also fits the game very good because it’s a fun, weird and unique game in its very own way.

Last month I started this game for the first time, hoping for a Spyro like the fun I had with the Trilogy. I'm a huge Spyro fan, so I was expecting more fun and realms. First of all, my experience with this game on PS2 was pretty bad. The whole movement of Spyro is feeling like slo-mo, it ruined most of the fun. I had frame drops, I think the game runs at 25 fps on PS2. The first homeworld felt pretty empty, but with a massive amount of gems to collect. In the first realm you come across a real-time flying level where you have to collect a certain amount of items with a time limit. I know, we had the same missions in Spyro 1, 2 and 3 but these weren't mandatory, you could actually skip these. In Enter the Dragonfly you need to collect as much Dragonflies as you can. Before you can enter other realms, you need more Dragonflies so they force you to complete the flying levels. To me, that felt like a grind move same as work. That's where my playthrough actually stopped. The only positive I can tell about this game is the music. For as far as I've played, I heard some nice recognizable songs that sounded like they were produced by Stewart Copeland, with samples they used in the OG Spyro games. But that's about it, I will have a look for Spyro: A Hero's Tail. I've heard they did some great improvements to that game.

The best Gran Turismo game since years! Everytime when I play a new GT, it reminds me of the first PlayStation era. Trying to beat all the licenses in GT2 was so frustrating for me. In GT7 I achieved all licenses in Gold, instead of the Super Licenses. I also completed the campaign for GT Cafe, that was the most fun part to me. This game is a brilliant presentation of the PS5's horsepower. I loved every replay video, just to see how stunning all these cars looks. I can really consider this game as a piece of art. Unfortunately I didn't collected all of the cars, I had around 70 of them. After playing 45 hours and seeing the credits, I was done with it. But this game deserves a serious Top 3 for me, for this year. I enjoyed every hour of it, even when it was pretty frustrating achieving the licenses in Gold. Maybe I will come back later and continue with more of the side quests.

This is the number 1 game that gave me the most memories that I still remember. I remember crying about the mission "Death Row" where you have to save Lance Vance at the junkyard within a amount of time. At a young age, I got stuck on that mission so I cried because I really wanted to see more of the game instead of that frustrating mission. I actually completed it years later, back then I just started the game many times over and over again. The beginning is where I got the most memories of. The hotel safehouse, the golf court, the mall and the beach off course. I can talk for hours about this, that's why this is my number 1 favorite game.

This was excellent, the only reason I played this was because of the fun and racing through the desert and see how high you can jump. When you hit the walls, you got blasted off like a cannon flying through the sky.

My favorite Ubisoft game since a very long time. It's not hard to beat, it feels like a light version from a RPG. Everybody can play this, its colorful, the characters are very interesting, the level design is beautiful and the missions are everytime invitable to play. Only thing is, games like this sucks up lots of time.

The best Tony Hawk game you can get from this moment. It feels good, looks good and it plays fantastic! Another trip down memory lane, Activision did a very great job on this. Hopefully we also get a 3+4 remake soon.

Fantastic remaster if you ask me. It comes all down to nostalgic, usually I'm not the first one who plays the Final Fantasy series. This was the first one I got my hands on back when I was a child on the original PlayStation 1. Because my English was not very on point on that particular age, I got stuck in the first world, Balamb Garden. Just slaying and running around, the music is timeless and I still hear it when I think about it. I've had no idea what I was playing, so I gave this Remaster a chance back in 2020 to experience it all again and understanding what was going on. I didn't made it to the end, but I really loved the story from what I've played so far.
