Did a full second playthrough experiencing everything I missed the first time around. This truly is the best indie Metroidvania and one of the best games I've ever played. The movement is so crisp, the combat is a blast and constantly keeps you on your toes, the music is amazing. Playing this game again has only made my anticipation for Silksong skyrocket. I hope I can play it in my lifetime :)
In the game's current state, I cannot recommend anyone to spend $20 on it. The potential is there and when the game wants to work it is very fun. The online is horrendous and really ruins the experience for me. Seeing unfinished animations is very jarring (I understand this is early access, but that doesn't stop other games in early access from presenting a much more polished and playable game than what Fraymakers is rn). I would definitely advise people to wait until the game is fixed to run better and more content is added
This was a fun game to play with a friend and it has some interesting ideas. Parkour system was cool and the melee combat was enjoyable at first. It eventually gets to a point where enemies take so many hits to die from melee weapons that you have no reason not to just use guns. The gameplay loop got boring a little too quick. The story is nothing special, but it did have some good moments. Felt weird that you can play the entire game with friends except for the very end. Speaking of which, the ending was a letdown.
