I had a good time with it even if i wish corvo/emily would talk less. worth mentioning that it had some ambitious level concepts that were executed quite well. the clockwork mansion is a particular highlight.

yeah it's a real shame, I have my gripes with just about any game but Arkane had a style I enjoyed and it's a bit of a shame to see them move away from it.
Do you think Xbox has anything to do with it?
I would not be surprised if they do, but it's hard to say.

As you put it, if you enjoyed one you are going to enjoy the other, because after all the main appeal is still the same. I think despite their moderate popularity those games are underappreciated which is why Arkane changed their games to more open world and loot shooting like Deathloop and yet to see Redfall.
Apparently this genre doesnt generate good profit, Prey underperformed big time.
