Uncharted 4's early-mid game story narrowly saves it from the series' typical one note platforming sequences, awful third person cover shooting, and exceedingly bland character in Elena Fisher.

The game does not run well at many times, especially in high action areas, and the puzzles were boring and non gratifying. Nathan Drake was at series best in this game when interacting with his brother and Sully, but as more characters were added to the mix, the more the boring the game got.

It's a chore to finish and runs too long, but at least has a strong first half that made it interesting enough.
