With any competitive game, it stops being fun at some point. But rocket league keeps you coming back even after you get burnt out playing. Extremely fun game with the right players, matchmaking can be a challenge sometimes. Also I haven't really progressed to that next level rank, I've been at plat 2-diamond 1 for too long. Maybe if I had the motivation to play some custom training I would get better but I couldn't be bothered, already wasted too much time playing it.
This game is too addicting, it's a time sink :(((. Don't play this game, also it's EXTREMELY FUN, but for real don't play this game... X_X Don't be that guy who plays this 2000 hours of your life like me.
I guess you could argue playing this game a lot is like playing any other sport or sport video game, playing it a lot is like playing any sport a lot. But in my mind, with the hours I've put into this, its like me trying to play pro for money, failing, and then still trying anyway.
I forgot to mention that the reason this game is so fun is 1. The stages don't change. Getting good at the game revolves around your basic skills with the movement. 2. The back and forth teamwork when you play 2v2 or 3v3.
