I don’t rly know if this actually counts as a game or not. The side story is good and unfortunately only rly works if you haven’t seen any of a certain character’s appearance before. The rest is just in character interview fluff. Curious to see if anything described from the sacchin route cut will make it into remake.

This game would be better if the sex scenes weren’t there which applies to all of Nasu’s works but specifically this one bc holy fuck.

an extremely solid fire emblem experience, with great maps, charming visuals, and an okay story (even if it starts fire emblem's long running sexism arc).

honestly there is no reason to play this over shadow dragon or mystery of the emblem book one, they're the same game with more content.

actually the best one in terms of story, and the huge maps are unique compared to the other entries.

That being said horses are op lol

there is no reason to play this now that echos is out unless you love suffering and being blinded by neon green maps

everyone is mean to this game but tbh outside of the art being jank its an incredibly solid and straightforward srpg. No frills or anything, its just fire emblem in its purest form. There are a couple of standout characters and the plot is easy to follow.

Path of Radiance's controversial younger sibling. While I think that the overall plot of PoR is better (lol blood pacts), Micaiah is a great character and its fun to see Ike come into his own. The gameplay is a lot more interesting than PoR even if I'm not a huge fan of how they changed the laguz.

The lack of supports really knocks this title down, as a lot of the characters don't get the screentime to characterize them without it.

This is not the best fire emblem but it is my favorite. The cast is fantastic, I love the supports, and the addition of HHM is great for people who want a challenge. One of the best starting points for anyone wanting to get into Fire Emblem.
