one of the best isometric RPGs ever. the combat system is very deep, although i many times uttered to myself "i'm on fire AGAIN?!". RPG progression is great, the dialogue and choices are great, the plot is suitably big for a very high fantasy setting... my only complaints are 1) it is way too long, and 2) each Act is more linear than it might seem at first blush. the way the encounters are designed and enemy stats/levels are assigned, you actually can't do certain encounters very easily until you level up. so your freedom to explore in any direction you want is actually somewhat limited. those two things don't ruin an otherwise amazing experience though. the one last thing worth mentioning is that D:OS2 has cross-save between PC and Switch (and perhaps other platforms, i never tested it though), which was amazing for continuing my journey on the go!
