An improvement from 2018, which in itself says pretty much everything.
If not for Pentiment, this would be my GOTY.
Absolutely amazing graphics wise, lore and story wise. Love what they did with the characters and how they spiced things up to make it different, while maintaining the quality we were expecting.

I consider myself a Monkey Island and a point and click veteran. So I think this might be a bit biased.
But I was expecting more.
I was expecting the game to be overall bigger, better and more polished.
Puzzles were a bit soo simples, even on hard mode.
Chapters were overwhelmingly short.
Story was a bit too straightforward.
But what really made me actively angry was the ending. Not spoiling anything, it might be the worst ending of the trilogy. While being almost as bad as the games outside the trilogy.
But not all was bad. I loved the artstyle and the voice actors. I loved the nostalgia around every detail and even loved some future implications the series might be leading on.
Just hope it gets better with future games.
Ps: hire me

I still prefer the older, less RPG focused, games
But with a clear influence on The Witcher 3 and a really solid story, it ended up being a pleasant surprise.
Could not get arsed to get 100% achievements but did every sidequest and main mission. Was a bit too long and dragged a bit by the end.
