Copious jingoistic cutscenes interspersed with average shooting feat. hopelessly stupid AI teammates

Fun concept and comes close to greatness, held back by some awkward controls, a couple of obtuse puzzles, and weirdly poor performance on Xbox Series. Definitely worth playing though.

At some point i did the maths and figured out if i did 100 holes every day (very reasonable) i could get to the final hole within two years, gave it a shot for a while, then my phone broke (unrelated, possibly) :(
From memory, did about 18,000 holes in the end.

Basically a perfect videogame

Lighthearted, plenty of weird match modifiers, good retro aesthetic, story mode, one button action.... Sensi but actually fun.

Theoretically classic one-button footy action but it's so buggy, constantly crashes, feels like almost no effort was put into it. When player sprites enter/leave the pitch they appear to walk over the tunnel... lazy.

"The Nintendo DS version made worldwide news in September, 2007 and December, 2008 when parents became upset upon finding the game's artificial intelligence player using coarse language ('shit', 'lesbo', 'tits' and 'fucker')"

lol

This game is funny as hell and the story behind the reclusive developers is really interesting (they were like, low-key a cult?) Very fond memories of this.

This seems much less well-known than the already pretty darn niche DS-10 - probably because this version never made it out of Japan, although a later 3DS port was more globally available. There's a massive range of instrument pre-sets available and some basic mixing and effects abilities. Actually super-powerful once you get the hang of the menu-diving.

I really enjoyed playing this as a kid and then many years later sold the cart for quite a lot of money, so thumbs up all round really.

People hate on this because kids but jesus christ it's addictive

Insanely hard but oddly compelling bus driver sim. Language barrier doesn't help but i'm willing to believe being a bus driver irl really is this much of a nightmare.

Tactical bits are kind of fun but the game is killed by some driving missions where the framerate seriously drops into the low single-digits. Ooof.

Classic games all but far from the best way to experience them. It's supposed to run better with the memory expansion pack connected i think? I don't remember noticing much of a difference...

i wonder what my frog's up to these days
