Cute and simple platform game. Just wanted to say though that this is mostly a very easy platinum trophy UNTIL you are left with the "clear round 9" of the original Pac-Man. So, get ready to learn how to play the original well enough to survive until round 9...

Played both versions of this (both the arcade one and the SNES one) in the The Cowabunga Collection. The arcade version was pretty lame to play mainly due to the random difficulty spikes and the tank enemies. The SNES version was way more approachable and fun. However, the arcade one totally wins when it comes to the animation department. So many cute little animations that were just ignored on the SNES. The SNES still wins over it and it's the one to play for sure.

[Rating for 3D World; not including Bowser's Fury]
Mixed feelings about this one. The visuals are great, and a lot of the levels are really creative and legitamely so much fun to play. However, there's something about the movement/speed of the characters that makes the whole experience feel weird and off to me. I'm fairly quite good at platformers (being probably my favorite genre) and I've loved probably every single Mario game I've played so far. But, there was a couple times in this where I found myself dying over and over for no significant reason. And this game having an isometric POV, these problems became much more apparent and annoying to me, truly hurting the experience of what could have been easily my favorite Mario game so far. I still had a nice time, but at the same time, I just don't see myself even going for the 100% or at least for all the green stars... A shame. Still curious about Bowser's Fury though.
