If there's a game that I would remove from the earth's surface would be this game. It is a complete different approach to the series compared to the first game. It removes all the fun you had in exploring the interconnective parts of the map opening shortcuts and dealing with situations like in Hellkite's Bridge in the first game and replaces it with linear map discovery with a boring theme. It replaces the tactical positioning of enemies to making unfair fights where you will be outnumbered EVERYWHERE it doesn't matter which part of the game, YOU WILL BE OUTNUMBERED will be rare the parts where you will be against an enemy 1x1 or get into a fair ambush of 1x2, even the bosses outnumbers you and are annoying and weak. They make the runs to bosses a chore rather than preparing to it, you probably will have to kill all enemies about 12 times so they can despawn and you can safely get to the boss without losing any resources. They overcomplicated the skill system and game progression with the addition of ADP (Adaptability) and separating the old END into two new skills VIT and END (Stamina Increase and Equip Load). I stopped playing after I got to Shrine of Amana, the place where not only you will be outnumbered but the enemies have a clear advantage to you unless you are using a bow.

This game have all I had wished throughout the years, a story that does not makes you force to comprehend it, a game where you can have multiple approaches and builds and still not know what you might be missing and most importantly make you adapt and get better without giving you mercy.

I got this game only as of recently to play. I always thought this was a niche game without much to do besides being part of the intrigues the community of this game had at the time, and I was wrong. Exploring this game feels like your own personal travel throughout some of the best landscapes the subconcious of the character's can reflect. Everything feels meaninful yet meaningless, the suddenty of going from a place of Madotsuki's dream to a deeper memory is amazing.
