Why Bioware decided to focus even more heavily on the combat aspects of one of the clumsiest, most oafish systems of gunplay mechanics in any AAA title continues to be one of the great bafflements in the history of the medium.

(Also I am a staunch defender of the planet scanning feature but it really couldn't have been that difficult to make it like 15% more efficient.)

I love this game a lot more than it deserves (judging by the 120 hours I've poured into it) but there are three things here that are completely unacceptable for a professional commercial release: weapons that don't switch or reload until you stop sprinting, and an absolutely cartoonish amount of dust particles which fucks up the entire experience. Worthy of at least 3.5 stars, but I'm giving it 1.5 for the amateur hour bullshit by Croteam.

For about the first hour it’s potentially the greatest game ever made, and then it realizes it can’t possibly figure out how to sustain that momentum so it falls back on the entirely dull Resident Evil Structure that slowly saps the life out of it.

Also the Molded are annoying as fuck, miss me with that bullshit entirely.
