Somewhere in this JRPG bloatfest is a beautiful 10/10 game that's 35 hours long waiting to be set free

The moment at the mural at the very end of the game hit me emotionally in a way I did not expect. Kratos seeing himself depicted by the giants in this beautiful golden light and finally accepting that he's not just a God to be hated, a God to be feared, a God who's vengeful, angry, and violent. He's a God who not only has the capacity to love, but is deserving and worthy of love himself. In this moment I found myself just like Kratos, fighting back tears of joy and relief.

Lost half a star because the berserker fights sucked so much ass

No amount of dope art, story, environments, music, etc. could overcome the dull PS3 era action combat or quest design. I enjoyed watching the story summarized on YouTube more.

I think if the base building felt better I would have really enjoyed NMS

I think Hades has ruined this genre for me

Game has 7 chapters. 1st chapter is intro/tutprial. Chapters 2-4 are great chapters with really clever and charming puzzle design, the best part of the game. Then the last three focus on the story and the puzzles take sort of a backseat which is a bummer. If all 7 chapters were like 2-4 this would be a fantastic puzzle game. Great soundtrack

No game felt more like reading a great book than Firewatch. You could have told me this game was 30 minutes long or 10 hours, and I would believe you either way. I couldn't put it down.

My prediction is FF7R is going to take the Evangelion rebuild route. First game is a (relatively) faithful remake, second is faithful for the most part but with some major changes esp. around the climax, and then anything after that is a whole new direction for the story

Low stakes platforming that's tons of fun, a cute celebration of Playstation's history. "Vehicle" levels were hit or miss

Took my favorite game of all-time and said "what if we added a bunch more fun stuff"

My favorite game of all time. Has it all. Great characters, amazing soundtrack, tons of style, and turn-based gameplay I'll never get tired of. Platinum trophy, half a dozen playthroughs, cheers me up whenever I'm in a rut, love this game

Haven't touched a COD campaign since MW3, nor do I plan to. Multiplayer is such a dissapointing step back from MW. Whenever friends ask to play Cold War I suggest MW instead. Zombies, however, is awesome. I could play it all night. Enough fun stuff to do that it doesn't get boring even on round 35, and the evac feature is nice. I like the crystal upgrades as well. And getting to pick the gun you start with is such a great QOL feature that has allowed me to focus on upgrading my weapons rather than dump money into the mystery box. Very happy with this edition of zombies, the other modes can buzz off for all I care

Blackout was fun for a bit but that's it. Zombies mode was terrible. Worst COD I've played (skipped infinite warfare)
