A good roguelike, but a little underwhelming. After a handful of playthroughs it starts to feel repetitive and easy. I wish there were more variety in boss fights especially, as aside from the final boss there are only three you can fight. There's not much in terms of lore and story, which is a shame as I love the lore in this series.
Negatives aside though, this is a good DLC. I like the roguelike approach, and it was fun climbing the tower with different palettes. I just wish it had a little more. Octo Expansion is still the best singleplayer mode we have ever gotten in Splatoon, in my opinion.

Insomniac delivered. This game is (almost) everything I loved from SM1 and Miles, with new features to improve and add onto the combat and web swinging.
I do have a few complaints and nitpicks. My main issue is that I wish the main story was a little longer. The length isn't bad, but the third act feels rushed and I think at least a few more missions would have really helped with the pacing. I think the side quests could also have been fleshed out more. I found most of them to be repetitive after a while or not very interesting gameplay-wise, and the hunter blinds aren't as interesting or fun as the variety of enemy bases in the first game, in my opinion. On top of that, when you finish the main story + side quests there's nothing left to do. The city feels empty.
Overall though, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. This is still a great game and if you're a Spider-Man fan, it's a must play.
