P5R was my first foray into Persona. I have, some of the most fond memories of being locked up during Covid and jamming out slaying shadows. People always told me, Play P3! Out of all of the games I remember being reviewed on XPlay when I would watch after school, P3 stuck out because of just this vivid memory of these kids shooting themselves in the head.

I am so glad that I finally got to unlock my persona. What a well crafted game. Loved so much about it. While I think on whole I still pref 5, mostly because tartarus is such a slog in 3. At least I got to listen to the music AND a bunch of podcasts while climbing floors!

This game deserves more praise. If you follow a lot of "best of 2023" lists, you may have seen a few recommendations for ugly. Maybe, like me, you passed over them. That my friends is a mistake. Because if you like puzzle platformers. If braid has a spot in your heart. You NEED to play Ugly.

You navigate through puzzles able to place down a crystal mirror which spawns a reflection of yourself. You can than switch back and forth between your two avatars. This simple mechanic carries 6 hours of game. Everything is available from the beginning, no Metroid style unlocks. The only thing that grows is your learning and skill. An easy recommend for puzzle fans, because

A cute little story and satisfying platformer that will take you about an hour to jaunt through. It might not stay with you, but you'll enjoy the hour. Props to the team for a good lil bite size snack.
