had some good moments with it, but also many times this felt like it was written by a 12 year old, although a very talented and creative one.

It is actually a full-fledged game and i got what i wanted from it. The one aspect that mattered to me most was the best part of it (feeling uniquely immersed on an interesting place at an interesting time period), so i had a good experience overall and am glad i tried it!
I always love seeing how long-running series started, but not necessarily as my first experience with them, for instance, Yakuza 0 was the best possible ever first experience i could have had with its respective series.
