this game is certainly imperfect - my main gripe, albeit specific, is that its far too tedious to go through the whole town every day and collect all the dialogue bits. however the story and the writing of this game are just so beautiful and touching that it makes it all worth it. i literally tear up every time i think about this game

this game is perfect for when you want to be an extremely evil person. in seriousness i love this game because it surpasses an annoying trap that puzzle games fall into where they make themselves overly complicated and unsolvable unless you have a guide. overboard! is fully solvable without using any guides and being able to actually figure things out on my own without needing that makes the experience that much better

this initial chapter feels like an entire story on its own that suddenly turns out to just be an intro. its like when youre an hour into a game and you only just reached the opening credits. i found it to be generally solid but there is so much space early on as well as between the goldenslaughterer scene and the endgame where i was just really bored tbh

genuinely one of the most frightening games ever and im not exaggerating. surprisingly good use of the old fmv point and click style and it never feels clunky or weird. the killer ai is very interesting and different from typical horror games, making it very scary to play against. the story is pretty unremarkable, but i dont really think it needs to be anything special when the gameplay and atmosphere of this game are outrageously amazing
