i wonder if there's a more dead thematic horse in this medium recently than this orientalist, neon-drenched strain of cyberpunk

don't get me wrong, this game is pleasant despite that, but the broader picture is bleak.
gamers™ have a firm, RGB-brained, gamer-chair-pilled grasp on this particular aesthetic, and the result is steam pages drowning in projects with the same plasticky 'cyberpunk aesthetic' shell half-assedly super glued on.
it goes beyond the issue of oversaturation, I just think the human mind has creativity bursting at the seams, and it'd be cool if we used it more
