Honestly, and I didn’t think I’d be saying this, but I had a really fun time with this game. It’s by no means perfect, and I’m sure I’d hate it as a single player experience (especially after 4), but as a co-op game this encourages a lot of really cool teamwork mechanics that my friend and I had a great time playing around with. Plus, getting to fight Albert Wesker while he teleports around spouting ridiculous cartoon villain one-liners is so fun. That seven minutes line is so fucking good and is one of the highlights of the game for me.

I get why people dislike this, because there are a ton of issues with it. The story flip flops back and forth between taking itself super seriously and being really corny and over the top, and the serious moments really REALLY do not work. Also, while I wouldn’t call this game outright racist, it really did misuse its setting. However, I actually liked Sheva as a character and thought her motivation of protecting her country and the people in it was a good one.

This game is flawed, but I think it gets way more hate than it deserves considering the amount of fun that can be had in multiplayer. If you’ve got a friend to play it with, I’d absolutely recommend this.

Oh, and I like Chris’ muscles. I don’t know why people were complaining when it makes perfect sense that he’d want to get yolked in order to take on Wesker.
