At first I did not understand the game. I had a few good runs and they felt fine. But once you get into the game, like really in the game, hoo boy. This game has depth to it and feels almost endlessly replayable. A truly creative masterpiece was cooked up here. I am floored at how good this thing is for the price. Indie games stay impressing and winning.

Wow what a game.

I loved loved this one. The art and music hooked me instantly, but then they followed that up with an interesting premise? Sheesh. The combat and collection felt satisfying. Most of the good armor weapons were hidden in secret locations and from quests, which made exploring the world actually fun! I loved SO many of these characters. The pirate crew, Garl, Seraii, the headmaster, Garl. Garl.

My only gripes are that the normal ending is not satisfying in the slightest and getting the true ending is a bit of a slog trying to find every rainbow conch. But that true ending OOOO BABY. Get the true ending, no matter what. You essentially didn't beat the game unless you got that ending.

Also, the battle system is great until near the end of the game where it feels a bit flat and doesn't develop much further.

Aside from those things, an excellent title. I really enjoyed my time with it.

Cute, fun, simple. I enjoyed my time with it.
