Game is alright. I think it didn't help that I played it directly after playing Yakuza 0, which is a LOT better. However, the game itself isn't bad and I had a good time playing through it. The main story feels a little rushed and some of the characters aren't fleshed out very well. Personally, I think the game would've benefited from a few more chapters to help flesh them out (as well as time spent on other characters to help flesh them out a little too). The context of Yakuza 0 helps a bit to create more sympathy towards Nishiki (as well as adding more cutscenes explaining why he turned compared to the original) but it still felt a little rushed there too. The Majima Everywhere system was fun for the first 50 hours but it's gotten really annoying, especially since finishing the game and getting to SSS rank and he's STILL attacking me every 5 minutes and I have no way to get out of it without reloading the save file. The boss fights in the game are really tedious and I don't find them fun compared to other games in the series. Despite this, I do think the game is fun and I liked it. I'll definitely be replaying it as well. And I really love how over-the-top dramatic these games are.
