There's something about Third Strike that no other fighting game has come close to replicating since. The game is much simpler compared to most other fighters (especially anime fighters), but it has an unmatched level of depth that feels so pure and earned. There are definitely more balanced fighting games, or other games with more complexity to its mechanics -- but Third Strike is just so water tight in its design and is so classic that its hard not to have fun with it as a fighting game fan.
