It's fun to annoy your friends with your high score

Load it up on your C64 tape deck and have a good time

Simple to play, tough to master platformer.

Intense puzzle game that really puts you under pressure, much like the pipes you're working with.

Not the best video pinball game by any means but still a solid freebie for Windows XP and 98 Plus users.

Too much grinding with too little reward. I would recommend the DB Origins RPGs instead.

If you want an excellent action game on the Genesis with a fantastic soundtrack and graphics that rival the SNES, look no further. The levels of Mega Turrican are very gory and gross looking, adding to the creepy atmosphere of this game.

The gameplay of Mega Turrican seems to be improved from the first game (I haven't played Universal Soldier/Turrican 2 so I can't speak for that). For one, the difficulty curve is lowered; you finally get an invincibility frame after being hit by an enemy, and the game runs at a proper 60 Hz NTSC, which means no cheap deaths from fast enemies. Otherwise, the platforming and shooting is just as solid as its ever been.

Turrican is a "metroidvania" before Castlevania even did this kind of stuff.

Anyway, traverse the world and kill enemies by rolling into a razorball or shooting them. You do not have an invincibility frame when you get hit by an enemy, so keep that in mind. Also keep in mind it's hard to tell where you have to go sometimes. Still, fun action game.

It's very on-the-nose as a Mario 1 clone, including featuring edited goomba and pipe sprites. The game suffers from being exclusive to Microcomputers of the time, which means you only have one button, and it's mapped to be the action button, so you have to hit up on the joystick to jump, which yeeeah, doesn't work well. It's recommended you buy a gamepad or joystick that has a second button mapped to 'Up' so you can jump properly, then it becomes a decent platformer for its era.

Fun and easy, though short and with uninteresting levels.

Great action game that, for my money, isn't as good as Revenge of Shinobi since its level design isn't as interesting, but still has excellent music and gameplay.

Very tough but iconic action game for the Genesis with killer music.

Really basic action game where you play as Michael Jackson and find and rescue little children that scream your name.
"Now I know what we're all thinking!" -James Rolfe

Killer soundtrack, of course.
