I'm 30 years late to the party, but I was pleasantly surprised by Bonk. The sprite work is delightfully expressive, the music SLAPS, and the dinosaur/caveman setting is a cool idea for a platformer.

Unfortunately, it doesn't handle particularly well, so you'll have to fight with the controls a bit. But it has enough memorable aspects to make it worth checking out, even if you're not going to finish it. (I know I'm not)
