Ironically, despite being on the less powerful console, Smash Bros for 3DS got the longer end of the stick. Although the core of the Wii U game is here, it is put on significantly better stages which are much more fun than the big empty maps of Wii U. 3DS also has a far superior classic mode, and it even has smash run which has yet to be seen again. Although the core appeal of it being smash on the go is gone, there is still a lot of unique features at play here meaning Smash for 3DS doesn't have that feeling of being "replaced"
