Not: New York çok güzeldi be.

To give some background to my experience with this game, I was a huge fan of Zeebarf's flash games since I was a little kid.
I initially started with Chapter 2 of The Several Journeys of Reemus, but went on to play all of them, one by one.
I loved the unique art direction and the quirky and imaginative world that was presented in these games. It inspired kid-me so much, it made me want to create my own fictional world, one as engrossing as this one.
The Journeys of Reemus series harbours a medieval setting, but with an artistic twist; the land is inhabited by gruesome, flesh-eating monsters/plants, giant bees/beetles/etc.

I loved the writing a lot as well. The two main characters are the highlight, of course, but the dynamic and interactions between Reemus and Liam is a strong part of the games, in my opinion.

Reemus is kind of a ruffian and a bit of a numbskull at times, but he's also determined and isn't afraid to poke a joke or two while he's at it. He's a bug exterminator by trade, overshadowed by his famous brother who kills dragons.
Liam, on the other hand, is more of a wise, down-to-earth character, a bard at that. He's also Reemus's sidekick and accompanies him in all of their misadventures.
Together, this duo are good friends and you can tell they genuinely care about one another but also have a different approach to life and how to resolve situations.
There are some instances in the games where Liam takes a level-headed and peaceful attempt at a solution to a problem, whereas Reemus jumps in and tries to solve things with a fistful of brute force and intimidation or sleazily talking his way into it.

Ballads of Reemus is no stranger to this pair's chemistry and utlises it to whatever extent it can get in this runtime of 2-ish hours.
The usual puzzle-solving point and click mechanics are here and they feel mostly akin to the old games, not much to say there. I don't really recall any puzzles that were very hard to solve, but they were well-made for what they were.

One other thing I will mention is that this game has something the previous games did not; voice acting.
It was a thing that was a nice addition at first, and it does bring the characters to life, but as a long time fan, the voice I had imagined for Reemus was very different from the one they decided to put in this game, which threw me off a bit.
Everyone else is fine, Liam's is eerily close to the voice I had imagine for him in my head though.

As much as I have praise for this series, Ballads of Reemus was more or less as long as a typical entry in the Journeys of Reemus series. However, being the first ever commercial release, I was a little disappointed when it ended so quickly.

Nevertheless, it is an enjoyable game and I hope that one day, we can see a HD collection or trilogy or something of the original flash games on Steam.

nostalji falan da
yemezler be hacım

✓ 100 yıl geçmişe ve geleceğe gidip karı kız düşürebiliyorsun
✓ kaworu benzeri homunculus karakter
✓ saçma derecede kriptik puzzlelar
✓ sonu açık biten ama asla devamı gelmeyecek o oyun

With the awful port of the first game, I expected better here since it was made for only the Super Famicom. Thankfully it is better but it's still got some issues.

One cool thing is the new character Maki, she's cute. I like her, I'd engage with some yuri activities...wait she's legal right? (looks it up on internet) ok good she's 20. But yeah she is who I used though Haggar is also still a fun choice. I couldn't care about Carlos though, lame man he is. Is he even in anything after this game? He's probably in some fighting game I'm forgetting.

The game is better than last time in terms of being fair. I hated how annoying the first game could be especially with bosses. While this game isn't fully free from some nonsense that can happen, it's still so much more fun to go through. Until you get halfway through the game and realize how repetitive the game is.

That's sadly what keeps this game from being good, I just get sick of playing it and hope it ends. I feel like the combat is too limited and the enemy variety is too low. At least this time you can actually map your health draining move to a button LIKE IT SHOULD BE! Maybe this game is better in co-op but I sadly couldn't test it.

I'll give it credit for the things it do but I'd argue any of the Bare Knuckle games would give you more enjoyment then this. Well actually I haven't played Bare Knuckle III...hmm maybe sometime soon. I can only hope Final Fight Tough will be a good and fun finisher to the trilogy on the Super Famicom.

i played that hide and seek mini game until my eyes bled
im just glad to be playin as my dude wario

Sense of scale and epicness Fire Emblem 4 is able to provide with relatively simple 16-bit visuals on a 4MB Super Nintendo cartridge is just mindblowing.I can understand how some people simply don't like the map designs of this game because of how massive, time consuming and exhausting they can be,but the strategic planning and scale it provides is unlike any other SRPG i've played. This is the first Fire Emblem i've finished, but i've dabbled a bit on Awakening and gameplay just didn't do for me.But the uniqueness of FE4 was more than enough to keep me engaged from start to finish
Unfortuntely,i can't give the same praise for the story, while it starts off incredibly strong, and peaks at the end of Chapter 5,everything after it just feels....empty.It loses it's dark, political tone and becomes a pretty standard "Rebels Vs Evil Empire" kind of story.Even the music suffers from this shift in tone, while the map themes of the first 5 Chapter perfectly balances between feelings of melancholy, determination, and epicness in it's tunes, which fits to the tone of those chapters perfectly, rest of them are much more upbeat and a bit forgetable.Which don't get me wrong, those tracks are still bangers, but i rarely came back to listen them
My rating may look a bit too high for all of my critisicms, but don't get me wrong,i've enjoyed this game, and the first half of it's story a ton. It's score is between 4 and 4.5 for me,but it could have been easy 5.Still,i'm very excited to play more from this franchise

I blame my fucking furry friend for buying this for me.
Overall, it's playable, to be honest you can do a hell of a lot worse for 5 dollars on steam.

Beer, Beer, Beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer

A long time ago way back in history
When all there was to drink, was nothing but cups of tea.
Along came a man by the name of Charlie Mopps,
And he invented a wonderful drink and he made it out of hops.

Hey!

He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king.
And to his praises we shall always sing.
Look at what he's done for us, he's filled us up with cheer.
Lord Bless Charlies Mopps the man who invented
Beer, Beer, Beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer

The Drunken Rat, the Aiken Drum, the Trowles Pub as well,
One thing you can be sure of, it's Charlie's beer they sell
So all ye lads and lasses at eleven o'clock ye stop.
For five short seconds, remember Charlie Mopps.

One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five...

Hey!

He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king.
And to his praises we shall always sing.
Look at what he's done for us, he's filled us up with cheer.
Lord Bless Charlie Mopps the man who invented
Beer, Beer, Beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer

A barrel of malt, a bushel of hops, you stir it around with a stick.
The kind of lubrication to make your engines tick.
forty pints of wallop a day will keep away the quacks.
Its only eight pence ha-penny, and one and six in tax.

One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five...

Hey!

He must have been an admiral, a sultan, or a king.
And to his praises we shall always sing.
Look at what he's done for us, he's filled us up with cheer.
Lord Bless Charlie Mopps the man who invented
Beer, Beer, Beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer, tiddly beer, beer, beer.

The Lord bless Charlie Mopps.
