I'd always avoided Super Mario Land as it seemed like the lame version of the SMBs on the NES.
I started playing it recently but never got very far. But picking up the homebrew port to the SNES just made it that little bit more playable. It's lovely to look at I guess.
It remains not one of my favourite Mario games, but at least I can say I've completed it.
