I do not typically rate DLC, Expansions, Re-releases, or Remasters unless there is a specific part of the game that I feel warrants the rating. I only rate in full stars because I hate rating things in general. I do not rate the large majority of Visual Novels that I have read on here. There is no rhyme nor reason as to why I decide to rate them, but, to me, some feel like they should be included here and some do not.

No subtlety. No substance. Where is the Silent Hill I grew up with? Two stars because some of the logs were unintentionally funny to read.
For everything about this game that I loved there was something that I hated. Most importantly would have loved if it either went more towards the full FFXII route or the more FFXIII route with world design and not some weird hybrid. Also I love the darker setting, but I could have done with less cringey swearing everywhere for grittiness. SoP got a pass for being camp. This does not.
Ultimately, I am like 75% through a second playthrough that I pick up and play every so often as of writing this; so I will have the plat soon enough. That's something of note because I rarely go for plats outside of like 25 cent psn sale games. That said the reason for replaying is the Monster Hunter style side quests and not the story.

I wanted this game to be good. It feels like it almost could have been. You can tell they mismanaged every part of this game's production. If they had actually focused on one part of the game instead of building what feels like four or five games in one maybe it would have been something.
