can I get banned if I say that I wish someone would kill themselves on this platform?
I played it through in one session. Very enjoyable but short game. Immersion is fantastic, I really felt the game & plot.
I was surprised when I saw that in this stealth game, the AI is not as braindead as AI in other RPGs, still pretty dumb but it's more like everyone's just ignorant instead of being blind and deaf.
Minor spoiler that you will lose your stuff somewhere in the main story, and getting it back is optional, I played the rest of the game with scavenged loot, I had fun.

Very nice game, with a very good mix of ideas. I think this frame-by-frame idea works best with a fighting game. It's not limited by art. Anyone who knows how to draw a stickman (sometimes just pixelated pictures) can make mods for this game.
However, I can't give it a 10/10 because fighting games are a niche and always will be. you need a duo, exactly one friend online. otherwise, you'd all go play something else.
And even when you do decide to play this, the game is unhelpfully as to what is going on. I played like 5 rounds and now I have a basic understanding of the gameplay loop. You really can't have a tutorial, you need to mess around, and it's even hard to describe. But it's a "once you see it, you'll get it" type. The Fuck around and Find out is hard with this hidden gem.
5bucks is really not much, especially for this game, if nothing else a very strong proof of concept. But if even that's out of your budget I'll advise you to look at the game's website: https://ivysly.itch.io/your-only-move-is-hustle It has the beta version for free download with server (multiplayer) support.
Some people call it chess because you have to think and you have a timer. WOW. besides these, it has nothing to do with chess. The basic gameplay cycle goes like this (for beginners):
- press everything and when the "ready" appears above your head first instead of your opponent's than lock that move in.
Jokes aside it's really simple just overwhelming at first. OhNo mORe tHaN 4 ButTOnS fOr AbilitieS.
have you ever wanted to make a bullethell? pixel perfect dodge a bullethell? frame-perfect parry a bullethell? make a moving minesweeper? Grab your friend and body slam him into the ground? impale someone? Bring a gun to a sword fight? PARRY A BULLET? WELL NOW YOU CAN, all frame-by-frame executed and played back real-time. While watching the playback you should not blink, as you'll miss like 5 moves that YOU did, but now can't understand it as you did it so fast. This is the point. Make You Frame-Perfect. Have you ever watched an anime fight and was like: "damn I wish I could do that", in this game you can.
