I was convinced that these games were not for me. For so long I thought "oh this game is hard for people who love banging their heads against the wall." But something happened. Something clicked while I was playing. Maybe it was my understanding the fighting mechanic or understanding upgrades and leveling up. Whatever it was it changed how I feel about From Software games. The feeling of dicovering something or defeating a boss gives me an adrenaline rush like no other. Hell, even discovering a chest makes my heart pound.

I think if you are struggling with games like these and you want to love them like everyone else, you should try what I did. Have a friend play with you (preferably someone who knows the game better than you do) and switch off when you die. You can learn a lot by watching and talking about what is going on.
