Ashes of Ariandel is a great short DLC that doesn't include anything that it doesn't need and follows through with an amazing final boss. The DS3 Base game was amazing, and it was hard to imagine how this DLC could seem on par; however, that was proved wrong quickly after experiencing the initial atmosphere and setting. My favourite part of this DLC, I think, were the interactions with the NPCs and their dialogue. I'm not quite sure why they felt different compared to the base game, but they seemed as if they spoke with more purpose, which added to the immersion.

Got The Sun ending for reference:
Imma miss Johnny Silverhand, Panam, Kerry and all of the characters in this game, this game really makes you get attached. Going to move on and continue into the Phantom Liberty DLC next then complete the other endings. 10/10 game, CD Projekt Red have done it again.

It was an insanely well-made game. It took a while for it to stick, but once it did, I played it for hours on end. Kim is one of the best side characters. The writing of this game makes it so much more than a game and you'll notice this the more you progress and dive into it. It's also really cool to know it took inspiration from one of my favourite TV shows, True Detective Season 1.
Could honestly be a five star game and may change to one in the future.
