It is the best souls-like combat in a non-Fromsoft game.

Writing is EXTREMELY weak. And the game's treatment of women is beyond problematic. Mechanically, it is a better Pokemon that ties the strength of your Pokemon to a dating simulator meta-game. The dungeon and monster variety are bland. It also relied too heavily on "slot-machine" mechanics to create an addictive loop.

The story is very mid, but some very tight platforming and combat make this game extremely digestible.
