a very comfy and pretty jrpg with a unique gameplay loop and some endearing characters (kokoro and uta were my personal favourites). unfortunately the otherwise interesting combat is undermined by how easy it is, and while i did enjoy a lot of it, the game overall felt a bit too slow and disjointed for me to enjoy it all, especially the stealth missions and certain tedious story/design elements.

I don't love this entry as much as seemingly everyone else but it's still a very worthwhile and impactful experience, and a refreshing new way to play persona 3.

also, kimi no kioku remains my absolute favourite persona ost, it's so beautiful

this game was just SO tedious and repetitive. I liked the aieon abilities but the parry got old very quickly, and nothing from the music to the environments, enemies or most importantly the atmosphere really impressed me. While I appreciate that hunting metroids is the key feature of the original and can't be changed too much, it just was not enjoyable and I finished this out of my own sense of obligation rather than because I wanted to.
