It's a cute, difficult game with nautical humor and lovable characters. It is a souls-like experience, however, the combat did not feel nearly as tight as I would have liked. Hit boxes were funny at times and the i-frames while dodging weren't dependable. I enjoyed the story and characters, but perhaps the best part was playing the game as part of the gamepass subscription.

I fear there was an artistic meaning to this game that was lost on me. It did have some thought-provoking conversations over the idea of faith and such, and the story itself was told in a very interesting way, however, I didn't enjoy it much. I think my biggest issue may have been going in expecting more humor, although the game did offer some humorous spots, it had a more serious undertone the entire time. It was short and looks great, I just don't feel like the game was for me.

With excellent combat mechanics and gorgeous graphics, I was thoroughly impressed with everything this game had to offer. Some of the fights were a real challenge and an absolute joy to get through. It took me about twenty-two hours for my first playthrough I still haven't put the game down. I would recommend checking this game out!
