Ignoring the 18+ content (with the patch, naturally), this is a fairly average RPG Maker game...but at the same time, it suffers from a big case of "yes, you need a guide for this." There are times where you can begin future events outside the intended time.

While combat is pretty standard fare (it's turn based), a nice addition to the game was in the surprise attack mechanic, where sneaking up behind an enemy (barring strong enemies who have different sprites than the normal mobs) nets you an autowin. On top of this, each character has their own ability as the party leader from slowing down enemies in the field to a fixed chance of just autokilling the enemy outright and other passives like healing after battle or seeing hidden items (which, to be honest, the hidden items aren't very common, so I wouldn't rely on this often, but you can see which enemies are strong enemies using this character as the leader).

The main plot is alright, in my opinion. I did like how Rolan, the main character, did get development. The one thing about it that does bother me, however, is that each heroine's story isn't totally completed until you begin their second half, which I would advise against until you level up some (for reference, I started after doing the normal ending with my party around their mid 40s).

For a game some people generally would just get for the 18+ content, I am a bit impressed how much side content they put in. You get a sort of "town development" mechanic fairly early on, and you can add on more places to Northland like a casino, a hunter's guild, an arena, a weapon and armor shop that sells stronger equips than the standard fare, but unlocking some of these things do require a bit of running around (and probably using the guide.)

Overall, even though 7 Girls War suffers from it's sometimes active refusal to tell you where to go, as the event list doesn't update as you progress in the current plotline, I enjoyed it...and dumped more time than I probably should've on the casino.

I'd give it a 3/5. Ignoring the 18+ stuff, it was decent. Lot of use of the stock RPG Maker music and tilesets, which isn't a dealbreaker, but that's just my opinion. Might want to get it on a sale. Also, get the patch. The folder comes with a walkthrough.
