Kind of a "no need to play this just play the sequel" deal

edit 2022-12-17: so obviously this review is out of date, but it's also kinda on the wrong game. that'd be the HD version. both have rockin android involvement though, so point stands, but my rating does not.

I feel bad giving negative reviews to games over being obsoleted after sequels have released, but at the same time, nothing pisses me off more than broken achievements. (Windows PC, btw)

"What's Your Story" is beyond finicky. I have a friend who has it but it's marked as unobtainable on all achievement trackers as there's no real way to do it, and like maybe only 14 people have it. Sora's story doesn't even unlock the way it should, which probably has something to do with it.

"Friendly Skies" lmao yeah online play good joke. I've never once got it working properly, every time I've connected and played a game, no real match has happened since bro you can't communicate. So yeah, of course it's broken, because fuck netcode I guess.

And on that note, fuck supporting your game too, actually. Let's provide total radio silence towards all customers and all bugs and what have you and never communicate, leaving the game in an honestly aggravating state. So I'm willing to dock the score due to it being obsoleted, since there is no reason to play this game. The sequel is published by people who actually know what they're doing.

I don't give it a half a star, though, since the game itself is good all things considered. (I reviewed AoS2, basically all my points there apply here but weaker.) That, and this is basically the only semblance of backstory you get of the Suguriverse characters, through the story vignettes. It's a shame that it ended up like this.

I'm a pomeranian! - qp

It's kind of a shame that online play is dead, but I'd be wrecked if it were anyway.
