my friend Lemmers turned me onto this one. as someone who passively follows vtubers enough to understand little references and stuff(outside of maid mint who i avidly follow lol) i was able to understand what was going on here in terms of like, who these characters are. but idk the gameplay was just... not bad, but boring. the highlight is shiori's which clearly had the most effort put into it, a psx stylized type of game where you... idk honestly. you do something. i think its some type of survival horror game, idk. i got the seeds and water but got bored quickly after. this can be said for the nerissa, bijou and fuwamoco games too. i got incredibly bored after just a few minutes. the only thing it has going for it are the hololive references, other than that its a boring novelty. but yknow. the game's just so painfully average. not much else to say

Age of Advent is a collection of four minigames, one based on each member of hololive's group Advent. It's free, so I just decided to check it out to kill some time.

After booting up the game, you're greeted with a very stylish title screen: a big neon sign with the title on the left, various hololive references are scattered in the background. It pains me to say that this title screen was, in fact, my highlight of the game. I played the minigames in order - right off the bat, Bijou's Bejeweled was fun a few minutes, until the initial novelty ran out and it just became Bejewled with a fancy skin. Nerissa's cooking minigames features movement similar to Crypt of the Necrodancer, while also having the mechanics of Snake at the same time, as the ingredients you collect follow your lead until you dump them into the pot. It was alright. The next game was the most boring out of the bunch for me, Shiori's horror farming simulator. The PS1 styled aesthetic of this mode is well done and fits the vibe they were going for, however the actual gameplay here is... not fun. It's a walking simulator, where you can ironically barely see where you're walking, because of the darkness and amount of treestumps everywhere. The fourth and final minigame in Age of Advent is based on the twins and controls like a two-player Donkey Kong minecart section. This one is actually my favorite of the bunch, because it's so simple in execution, but the two-player perspective keeps you on your toes. (I actually don't know if you're supposed to play it by yourself, but it was a fun challenge nonetheless.)

While it wasn't as enjoyable as I would have hoped it to be, Age of Advent clearly has a lot of love put into it from the fans who made it and in the end it's ultimately a passion project - which I respect a lot.

Me parece muy buen juego hecho por fans para fans de las nuevas chicas de hololive, están muy bien elavorados y se miran bastante detallados los 4 minijuegos :3

A very solid, fan-made, mini-game collection focusing on the idols of Hololive Advent.

My personal favourites were Shiori's and Nerissa's games! Shiori's being a survival horror, score-based, farming sim is the best way to describe it. Nerissa's game is a rhythm game with a unique twist, as you move around to the beat and collect items to form a conga line of sorts (until you deposit them into the pot to earn points) while avoiding bombs.

Bijou's is a solid 'Bejeweled' style game with some difficulty to it and while I did enjoy FuwaMoco's endless runner... It made me a bit nauseous, with it's depth perception issue of trying to focus on two targets on different planes (one being on the foreground and one in the background).

It's free on Steam, so go give it a try!

Age of Advent is a collection of 4 minigames based on the characters of the new Hololive EN generation - Advent.

Shiori's Archival Survival is definitely the most interesting of the games here, being a striking attempt to introduce a scoring-based "arcade" gameplay loop into survival horror. I also like the restraint shown in focusing the horror aspect around atmosphere and rising dread instead of cheap jumpscares.

Nerissa's cooking minigame is the most fun to play of the four, the combination of necrodancer-movement and the famous Snake game format makes for a pretty simple, kinda addictive little game. The only problem is that there's no ramping up of challenge over time, the only threat to the player is the possibility of bombs randomly deciding to spawn unreactably right in front of you.

We're aBAU BAU't to Crash is a cute idea - an endless runner kinda game where you have to control two characters at once, but it doesn't really work in practice since you can just intentionally kill off one of the doggos and then only have to focus on one part of the screen with no real punishment. Probably more fun if you play it multiplayer I guess.

And I don't have much to say about Bijou's puzzle minigame. Block puzzle games aren't really my thing and I'll happily admit that I'm terrible at them. It's ok though.

Felt like a fever dream mix of Hololive Advent and Miniclip.
It's a collection of games based around each one of the talents and while Biboo's and Nerissa's are ok, Shiori's and Fuwamoco's were really good, I had a lot of fun with the Fuwamoco runner.
Then again, unlike other fan games there is not really anything to strive towards if not to get a better score each time.
Realistically it's a 2.5 but I'll give it a three because the VTuber rabbit hole is consuming my soul
