Fox Video Games made the first leap into licensing the Alien property for video games with what was essentially a Pac-Man clone skinned with elements from the 1979 film. Players controlled a human collecting Alien eggs (dots) and small planet and spaceship symbols (fruits) in a maze abroad the USCSS Nostromo while avoiding Alien drones (ghosts). Drones could be killed by shooting them with a flamethrower or collecting symbols that would stun them (flashing dots).

Going through some early horror, I didn't expect to be almost immediately met with this terrible garbage. This game took the most mediocre version of Pac-Man and slapped the Alien name on it (I'd assume to garner more sales). Dreadfully boring and almost insulting for using a beloved horror franchise's name for this.
Meanwhile, somewhere within Fox Video Games...
"Alright, here me out, right? What if we took the movie Alien, yeah? A serious horror movie about a horrifying alien abomination killing many people, staying with me? What if we took that... and made a Pac-Man game around it?"
"Ok, first of all, you are immediately promoted to CEO, and secondly, ABSOLUTELY!"
