the enemy patterns and fireballs can be kind of frustrating but once you get the hang of it it's honestly really fun. has way more depth than mario bros. since it's an overtly competitive experience. destroying a wall to knock your opponent down always feels way more big brained than it actually is, but i love it.
my main complaint is that i wish your character moved just a little bit faster because having to run across the screen to escape enemies can just feel like a real slog. still though, for the time, this is honestly a really great little arcadey experience.
i kind of suspect nes wrecking crew isn't going to hit as hard as this version due to how well it utilizes the dual screen mechanic.
