Why Car Mechanic Simulator 2014? Its in my backlog and I want to finish all the games in my backlog, duh. For real though, Car Mechanic Simulator 2014 is mid at best. Failing to educate the player on 99% of the games mechanics (how cars work), and doing what it sets to acheive in a half baked fomula. One that see the player doing the same thing over and over and over again, with no real development in complexity. I am sure the newer games in the series do a better job at expanding on such; but for the rating of this game indivudally? A 2.5. (P.S. For context, this is all coming from someone who has a entry to mid level understanding of car mechanics and systems. I could with the right tools change break pads, filters, maybe even ignition mechanisms but certantily not complex gear shift mechinisms or full replacment of larger parts, such as an engine block, or shocks. Yet I am mainly giving this rating based on how me as an outsider to the industry sees this game.)
