There's only two good things I can say about this game. First, the game is pixel-perfect, completely perfectly aligned, including animations and text, which is very rare in modern pixel art games. I'm honestly stunned that it is, and I'd love to know the engine this was made in if it wasn't done in a custom engine. Second, the visual style is pretty great. Yes, some of the sprites look kind of weird, but it's very unique and consistent with its color palette and level of detail.

Everything else about this game... is just... ugh. Once again breaking out the list.
- walk speed is way too slow and there's no way to access the map from the drop down menu where the items are, yet at the same time, the map can only be accessed on very specific areas of the screen. So you have to watch your character slowly saunter over to the map (or whatever else it is you clicked) every time you need to change locations
- building off that, the character will walk all the way over to anything you clicked on, often times to tell the player there's nothing they can do with it. With the walk speed being as slow as it is, this is a poor design choice.
- yet, despite the slowness, the text in conversations/monologue is all on a timer and will scroll on its own? Unless your game is voice acted, this is rarely ever a good idea, except in instances of jokes about a character blabbering on about something/talking too much. But that's not how it's used here.
- the mechanics and controls are NEVER explained ANYWHERE. I had no idea left and right mouse clicks did different things. The first quick time event I died because the red circle appeared and I didn't know what the hell it was or what I was supposed to do.
- speaking of the red circle, there were multiple instances where I died even though I clicked on the red circle. I don't know if this was because of an error on my part (clicking in the wrong part of it) or a glitch because the mechanic is never explained.
- so many of the game's puzzles just... don't make sense. How would the player know to use a yo-yo on a camera to get a flash drive? How would the player know to feed a dog cat food to steal from a homeless guy? How would the player even know the homeless guy would chase after the dog? I literally had to open a walkthrough within the first 5 minutes of playing because I was so lost and the walk speed made me not want to explore in the slightest.
- it's quite minor, but there were a few instances of clunky translations and out of place symbols/characters in text lines. The game is still 100% understandable and everything comes across clearly but it could've used another refinement pass.
This game needed much more work on it before released, especially considering it costs money. Only a dollar, but still.
