sigh yea... I played it. The game is such an anomaly to me, not only is the game the most NSFW sexual-content filled thing I have ever seen (even more than their alternative title Trials in Tainted Space) but it is also one of the most interesting and deeply thought-out story-rpgs i've ever played. So i'll give it a real review. While I would recommend 90% of people to completely ignore it purely for content-sake, for those with the stomach to muscle through the game, you will find genuinely good characters, interesting quests, good stories, and a fairly (albeit forgettable) decent rpg-system tangled up in it.

To be as fair as I can be the RPG part of the "game" is fairly loose and straightforward, leaning more into quick, easy combat that after 3-4 quests in became ludicrously easy by just basic attacking and not using abilities, save for some situations. The writing is scarily good for what many may expect, much of the story is very well written (sometimes a little over-written) but has a generally good playout for this current edition of the game. I do note that I have not finished the current version I played (v0.6.3) but figured i'll give it a much deeper dive (supposedly 30+ hours) when it fully releases. If you want a game that is well-written and doesn't stray from weird perverse sexual topics and genuinely inane kinkage (not that I am judging), then give it a whirl, a free version is free on their Fenoxo site. Just prepare yourself going in.

tldr: if you don't mind (or if your into?) the weird sexual sights the game has, you will also be treated to a well-written story with good characters and a modestly average rpg system

I stopped playing this as I found out the main game is incomplete, but I’m glad I took the time to play this as a real game. I had always played the first CoC and other flash text adventure games like it in “bursts” and couldn’t retain a save to make real progress. Frankly I don’t know which from this group, the originals, or others like it if they had ways to conclude the game, but seeing as there had been several layers including images and cloud saves, I bought this and dug in. And I knew of so many of its core bits, but I was surprised at how interested and invested in some of the quests and interactions, and the dnd-like combat mechanics. The range of furry, not furry, and other monster ish enemies is very pleasing, though it could always use more. The transformations and amount of character customization is staggering and I hope a fully visually depicted adult game can have the level of depth coc2 brings sometimes. I wish it was finished, because I was genuinely enjoying the narrative and the side activities and quests. I always want something that is respectably composed but is also impossibly horny alongside it, and this hits the right tone and balance of elements to make it fun and compelling. I hope to play one with similar features and a complete story soon. Or ever
