A great level pack for the original game with some of the most creative and fun designs - honestly what the original game's levels should have been from the start. Unfortunately, the final boss and "story" are bugged to shit. The cutscenes after the first never played once for me and I had to restart the game to unlock new worlds. The final boss is also a huge joke and not fun at all. Sad because I was really hoping the dlc would make this game into more than just neon white at home.

Lost Numbers actually had the most fun level designs of the game for me. That combined with the new presentation and music made me really excited going through it - it felt like a huge change of pace that the game needed. This sort of grinder to a halt with the final boss, though. It’s genuinely unplayable, which really sucks and soured the entire experience. The ending to the story is also…not good, but the story already was a sort of loose way to tie it together? So should I really be complaining about it? Either way, it felt really underwhelming after beating the final boss - and yes, the actual “ending” to the game is locked behind this DLC, there is not even a credits roll in the base game.

The bundle of the DLC with the base game on Steam cost less than the base game by itself for me, so I only recommend playing the DLC that way. You have no reason not to in that case.

I actually don't think the levels here are that big of a dip from the base game. Some of them are pretty great and I like the new mechanics introduced, especially when trying to get the fastest runs possible.

But the bossfight is a mess. It's too ambitious without the best part of this game: actually speed-running. The boss is broken up into three phases, and it resets your time after each phase, but it's all stuffed into one level. It would've made more sense to make it three separate levels and then allow users to speedrun them with leaderboards included. I was pretty surprised when I finished it and didn't have any time saved or leaderboards present, but I understand why that wouldn't be the case as it's broken as heck. The final phase doesn't reset properly, and the second phase is full of random deaths that I cannot explain. It was frustrating :(

The level design takes a DRASTIC decline with a horrible boss fight

poopoo bad ending suck ass
