Not rating this because I played it for literally 30 minutes and only sampled a bunch of levels without doing much. There was so much data everywhere and yet the gameplay was so sloooooow. I know this is many people's favorite series (perhaps from a a slightly older age of gaming, but still 100% valid), so I'm not going to shit on it without even having beaten the prologue, but there is no way I will ever be able to finish a level in this game, it's so time-consuming to move units around. Shame. I have no idea how anyone manages to be patient enough to complete this game, even if it was someone from 20 years ago. If they had major QOL improvements that'd be awesome

Hex-grid based tactical turn-based combat with a lot of neat intricacies and the ability to create custom maps. Campaign provided a lot of great ideas.

I've played this game as recently as 2022 and it was still pretty good fun, making the Elden Ring Lands Between and then setting them to war with tanks and guns.

Currently the best possible introduction to the series thanks to the official translation, presentation and (gasps) an actual tutorial!

However, it has one big problem, and that's the fact that it has only controller support and that's a big drawback. Makes battles longer than they already are, so, despite recommending it just for the tutorial alone, it's not quite ideal either.
