This game answer the long asked question, what if Wonder Boy was a huge dude that looked like Conan with a comically small knife and an also comically huge hitbox? (Don't think anyone asked this question ever but oh well).

It's basically an action platformer with huge (not really) levels that you can explore to find powerups / experience / health. It has a level system, but I'm not sure if it does anything other than boosting your max health. It's not really a "metroidvania" or anything close to it though, it's basically a linear game where you can do some detours to get some extra stuff.

Game is also pretty easy if you know what you're doing, but you can die if you don't figure out what to do on some bosses. You only have one life and if you die you have to start the game all over again. Even so, the game can probably be beaten in around ~40 minutes or so, and it's not really that hard. In fact, it's quite easy.

My favorite thing about the game, though, it's probably the visuals. The game is kinda ugly to be honest, but as a person who is not very familiar with the Master System, seeing the power of the console and the amazing colors the games normally have never fail to amaze me.

Either way, if you have some time to kill and need a (slightly) kusoge experience, you can't go wrong with Danan.
