Greatest free mobile game out there. Very stylish and gifted with a surprisingly interesting story and very original controls and mechanics. Addicting and hard to let go, hopefully someday we’ll get an expanded PC/Console release with a bigger story and more modes. This game deserves it.

I am in complete shock at a mobile game using a good control scheme ON TOP of a rather interesting story to boot! Here we are though, Data Wing is easily one of the biggest surprises I have experienced on my phone, and everything about it just works. It has variety in it's gameplay, neat mechanics that keep challenging you, and a soundtrack that is a boop.

Really Data Wing understood the assignment of how to make a good mobile game by being accessible, easy to understand, and made in bite size chunks that give an easy pick up and play attitude. You play as a neat little triangle, named Data Wing, that needs to navigate through a bunch of mazes, and pending on the objective, either go real fast or find a way out. You take orders from two different little AI buddies that are both charming and a bit insulting to you. They each have some fun little dialogue while also telling you a bit of their goals and what they want to do. There is also another story in the background being told as you collect various little user logs that help flesh out the overall narrative, but this is completely optional.

Data Wing isn't particularly long, but it absolutely has legs to become more of a series. Intuitive controls, interesting story, and challenging gameplay just make this free game even more of a winning combination. If you have a phone capable of running it, download for a good time!

How can a mobile game be this polished, a complete package, and be 100% free of charge and free of mobile bullshit?

The only negative it's that it's too short but this may be one of, if not the best mobile game I played. It has surprisingly great writing, great gameplay with varied levels, and while the controls are a little hard to get used to, the risk-reward aspect of the wall boosts is great.

Oh and that soundtrack... it's perfect.

This is a surprisingly high-quality title for being a free mobile game. Interesting story, cool abstract graphics, and controls that are intuitive but take time to master.

God, this game rules so much. Data Wing is the type of game you would never expect to see on mobile. This is a 100% free game with a complete story and everything. It has memorable characters, the music is a blast, and the gameplay...this game is so unbelievably fun. Data Wing is a racing game, but it throws in a bunch of gimmicks that make you approach levels in loads of different ways. The most important of this is the ability to grind against walls for a speed boost. This completely turns the game on its head - instead of hugging corners to go fast, you're forced to ride up against the edge of a turn to build up a massive speed boost out of it. Combine the perfect gameplay with the excellent presentation and you have a game where I easily found myself getting sucked in to going through the same 30-second track over and over to optimize my time, fully being absorbed into the groove.

The one thing that really sucks about Data Wing is its size. This game is criminally short, and you can beat it all in a couple of hours. I can't complain too much - the game's free with no strings attached which is probably why - but despite how fleshed out this game is, it feels like it barely scratches the surface and leaves me constantly wanting more.

I'm begging you Dan Vogt, please make a followup or a sequel or an expansion. Take my money. Please.
