You play David, an awfully small abstracted chosen hero tossed into a blissfully simple world overrun by giant culminations of evil physics-beasts. As David, you are given a slingshot-esque gift that you will have to use to conquer your colossus foes. Be there AND be square.

Very compelling puzzle-shooter game, but very challenging to actually finish. Found the last level before the boss quite difficult even on low difficulty, and didn't get enough completions to get to the final boss. not gonna pick it back up, but I can see this being a fun challenge to someone who loves this kind of genre.

David. is a small game that mixes platforming with bullet hell elements as you play a simple cube jumping your way through different arenas trying to sling magic orbs towards basic shapes that are trying to chase you.
It's a very simple mechanic that is easy to pick up but tricky to master. The game only contains 9 levels plus a boss fight but each of them is very different from each other. It's never just the same room again with more enemies or something like that. Each of them is a fresh idea.
Unlocking the final boss can be tough as you have to beat every other level individually without losing a life first.

I enjoyed this game a lot. The simple visuals were honestly very pleasing and I was surprised how creative the different levels were despite the simple gameplay.
It was pretty hard for me too but it was still fun enough to overcome frustration and keep trying until I finally beat the game. David. is another one of these short indie games that leave me wanting more. If there would ever be a part two with more levels or maybe even more features and abilities I would be on that for sure.

The only thing I would note in terms of improvements is that I would have preferred it if the screen was a bit further away from the character or you could zoom in and out with the mouse scroll wheel. The movement is very floaty and it can get confusing at points where you and the enemies are. Especially when there is a lot of switching between real-time and slow-motion which happens every time you charge up your attack. The final boss level even gave me a bit of motion sickness because of the very large empty arena and that constant time change.
It's a very fun and polished game nonetheless.

This game is sold for 2 bucks on ich.io but if you got the BLM bundle you already own it. I recommend you give it a shot if you like these kinds of games.
