Arcade shooter where you protect humans from being captured by aliens. Created by Eugene Jarvis and Larry DeMar, it is a sequel to Defender which was released earlier in the year. Some home ports of Stargate were renamed to Defender II for legal reasons.

Mostly more of the same from Defender, with minor additions that don't really improve the game.

So, this game was originally called Stargate, but it was renamed to Defender II for home ports, and you know what, that's a more appropriate name, because this is pretty much the same as the original Defender. There are some new features, such as an invisibility power, being able to teleport around with portals in the stage, and special stages, but other than that, there isn't too much more here.
